The French League-rich club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), officially got a new sponsor to replace Fly Emirates. The multinational hotel chain, Accor, will be displayed on the front of the PSG costume as the club’s main sponsor starting the 2019-2020 season.
Details of the value and duration of cooperation between Accor and PSG have not been announced to the public, but the French newspaper, Le Parisien, claims PSG is now among the top 4 European clubs with the most expensive sponsorships.
The claim means Accor and PSG have agreed to be between 51-53 million euros a season and are between Barcelona (Rakuten / 51 million euros) and Chelsea (Yokohama / 53). Originally with Fly Emirates, PSG was only in the 10th position of European clubs with the most expensive sponsors. Fly Emirates “only” pays 28 million euros per year. 10. Bayern Munich (Telekom) – 29.5 million euros
Since 2002, the German telecommunications company, Deutsche Telekom, has been loyal to sponsor the biggest German League club, Bayern Munich. Telekom currently pays 29.5 million euros per year.
9. Liverpool (Standard Chartered) – 35 million euros
The London-based multinational financial services company, Standard Chartered, has been Liverpool’s main sponsor since 2010. Replacing Carlsberg (1992-2010), Standard Chartered paid 35 million euros per year.
8. Tottenham Hotspur (AIA) – 35 million euros
AIA life insurance company has been a sponsor of Tottenham Hotspur since 2014 with a value of 35 million euros. The contract is reported to have been renewed in 2017 and will expire in 2021-2022.
7. Manchester City (Etihad) – 35 million euros
A year after Manchester City was taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, airline Etihad Airways became the main sponsor of The Citizens, nicknamed Man City. With a contract value of 35 million euros, the Etihad also has the right to become the name of the Manchester City stadium.

Since 2006, Fly Emirates has become the main sponsor of Arsenal with a value of 49.5 million euros per season. In addition to putting his name on the chest of Arsenal uniforms, the Emirates also became the name of the stadium of the Gunners, nicknamed Arsenal.

In 2014, Manchester United signed a contract with the United States automotive company, General Motors, to become its main sponsor. Total value of 490 million euros for the duration of seven years, General Motors chose one of its brands, Chevrolet, to be displayed on the chest of United’s uniform.
1. Real Madrid (Fly Emirates) – 73 million euros
Real Madrid has been sponsored by Fly Emirates since 2013. Fly Emirates replaced Bwin (2007-2013). In 2017, the contract with Fly Emirates was extended by Real Madrid for five years with a value of 73 million euros per season.
