GP Catalunya results, Jorge Lorenzo Champion, Valentino Rossi Third

Ducati Rider, Jorge Lorenzo became the fastest in the 7th series of 2018 MotoGP races in Catalunya on Sunday (17/06/2018). He finished in front of Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi.

For Jorge Lorenzo, this is his second win with Ducati Team in a row in 2018 racing season. Beginning last June, he also won at the Mugello Circuit, Italy. Then finish behind three riders in a row: Cal Crutchlow, Dani Pedrosa, Maverick Vinales, Johann Zarco, Danilo Petrucci, Alvaro Bautista, Andrea Iannone, Pol Espargaro, Scott Redding, Karel Abraham, and Franco Morbidelli.
When the race begins, Marquez immediately took the initiative to take the first position of Lorenzo when they passed the first junction. Fierce resistance also shown by Andrea Lannone (Suzuki Ecstar) who had tasted the leading sequence.
However, it did not take long for Lorenzo to regain his first position. He successfully leads when the race enters the start of second round. Meanwhile, second and third respectively sequentially occupied Marquez and Lorenzo’s teammate Andrea Dovizioso. Disaster then happen by Dovizioso. Italian racer was forced to not be able to continue GP Catalunya race due to fall when passing corner 5. For Dovizioso who is one of the candidates champion, this is the third fall incident along the MotoGP 2018 season.
Before Dovizioso, there are 5 riders who had already fallen. They are Mika Kallio (bend 4), Sylvain Guintoli (bend 7), Thomas Luthi (bend 3), Aleix Espargaro (bend 11), and Xavier Simeon (bend 1). Post-Dovizioso fall, third position then take over by Movistar Yamaha rider, Valentino Rossi. The fourth order is occupied by Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda). Incident fell also experienced by two riders at once namely Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda) and Bradley Smith (KTM). Both riders fell when passing through the bend 5.
When the race remaining 6 more rounds, there was an incident of fire emergence from the motor driven by Tito Rabat (Reale Avintia Racing). He was unable to continue the race. Shortly thereafter, the Tech3 Yamaha Monster racer, Hafiz Syahrin, also fell. Thus, the Malaysian rider was recorded had 2 failed to finish the race this season.
Meanwhile, a consistent lead Lorenzo successfully complete the race in the first place. The second and third positions are occupied by Marquez and Rossi.
