2022 World Cup Logo Launched in Qatar

Recently, Qatar 2022 World Cup logo was introduced to the public on Tuesday (03/09/2019) in Doha, Qatar. The 2022 World Cup logo consists of two colors, namely maroon and white that match the national flag of the Qatar flag. The logo that resembles the number 8 represents 8 stadiums which will be used at the 2022 World Cup and also resembles a World Cup trophy. The logo on the words “Qatar 2022” shows the existence of local Arabic culture.

Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup. Qatar was chosen as the co-host with the 2018 World Cup host election won by Russia on December 2, 2010. Qatar eliminated other candidates, namely the United States, Japan, South Korea and Australia. Qatar became the first organizer of the World Cup in the Middle East region and second on the Asian Continent. Previously, the World Cup was first held on the Asian Continent in 2002 in Japan and South Korea. Qatar World Cup 2022 is different from the previous organizing.

The World Cup, which is usually held in the middle of the year, will later be held at the end of the year which will begin November 21 – December 18, 2022. For Qatar, this election as the host of the World Cup is an advantage. Qatar will also make its debut at the World Cup and at the same time be the host of the World Cup. Qatar is now incarnated as a new football giant in Asia. Qatar can now be compared to World Cup customers, such as Japan, South Korea, Iran, Australia and Saudi Arabia. In fact, Qatar was able to come out as the new champion at the 2019 Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Qatar also eliminated South Korea and the United Arab Emirates in the quarter-finals and semifinals. In the Final, Qatar against Japan is one of the giants in Asia. In addition to subscriptions to qualify for the World Cup, Japan also holds a 4-time Asian Cup champion. Qatar became the Asian champion after beating Japan by a score of 3-1.
