Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly officially joining Barcelona in the summer of 2022. According to a Tuttomercatoweb report, Barcelona made Cristiano Ronaldo their main target in the summer transfer market which opens on July 1, 2022.

So, what makes Cristiano Ronaldo want to leave Manchester United as his current club? The reason is the presence of the new Manchester United tactician, Ralf Rangnick.

The gegenpressing strategy and training pattern carried out by Ralf Rangnick made Cristiano Ronaldo uncomfortable. Even so, Cristiano Ronaldo still looks professional. He has collected 14 goals and three assists in 21 appearances in all competitions this season.

According to a Tuttomercatoweb report, Tuesday (11/1/2022), the agent who works for CR7, Jorge Mendes, is reportedly willing to hold talks with Barcelona President, Joan Laporta. The conversation was suspected as a negotiation to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Camp Nou.

“There comes sensational news from the Catalans: Jorge Mendes, a strong agent of former Real Madrid and Juventus player, Cristiano Ronaldo, will negotiate with Joan Laporta (regarding the transfer of CR7),” wrote Tuttomercatoweb in its news, Tuesday (11/1/2022).

Jorge Mendes is known to have a good relationship with Laporta, which could make the move happen. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Barcelona could be hampered by old sentiments.

As is known, Cristiano Ronaldo is a figure who is attached to Real Madrid, which is Barcelona’s rival. For almost a decade, Cristiano Ronaldo wore a white and white uniform and kept the honor of Los Blancos – the nickname of Real Madrid.

Even Cristiano Ronaldo is listed as Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer with 450 goals. No doubt, the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo to Camp Nou must be questioned further. Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo’s tenure with Manchester United is still long, which is until June 30, 2023.
