4 Real Madrid Players Who Have the Potential to Leave in the Summer Transfer Market

Real Madrid will undergo the 2024/25 season with the title of European and Spanish champions for the umpteenth time.

Even though it could be said to be successful last season, Real Madrid has not been complacent this summer, as evidence of recruiting the best footballer in the world, Kylian Mbappe, to improve their squad even further.

Apart from waiting for the arrival of new players, Los Blancos fans are also looking forward to several players who will leave to get more playing time elsewhere this summer.

Names such as Nacho Fernandez and Joselu have already taken off the Real Madrid uniform. However, these two players were not the last to leave Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

The following are several players who have the potential to leave Santiago Bernabeu in the transfer market this summer. Check out the full news below.

Andriy Lunin

Andriy Lunin is the main reason why Real Madrid managed to win the La Liga and Champions League double last season. His brilliant performance between the sticks resulted in these two prestigious trophies.

So why did the Ukrainian player have to leave the club? Yes, because Thibaut Courtois has returned from injury.

As is known, in the Champions League final match when Courtois was reintroduced to the starting team despite Lunin’s impressive performance, he will be destined to be Real Madrid’s second choice goalkeeper forever.

The 25-year-old is more than capable of being a first-choice goalkeeper at another top European club, and may have to move on this summer to get his due playing time.

Reinier Jesus

Amazingly, Reinier Jesus still has the status of a Real Madrid player to this day. And what’s even more amazing, he is also still 22 years old.

Signed by Los Blancos from Flamengo for a transfer fee of 30 million euros in 2020, Reinier is predicted to be the focus of Real Madrid’s midfield in the future.

Unfortunately, the player has never tasted playing with Real Madrid and the player has spent most of the season on loan at various clubs.

After unsuccessful loan spells across Europe, Reinier is currently training with the Castilla squad and not with the Real Madrid first team.

If management can find a way to permanently sever ties with the failed wonderkid this summer, they certainly will.

Rodrygo

Thanks to the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, in particular, Rodrygo Goes’ position in Real Madrid’s first team looks like it will be increasingly threatened ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Pre-season games in August will provide a clear indication of how Ancelotti hopes to incorporate all his star strikers into the starting line-up, and whether that can be successful.

If it doesn’t fit into the coach’s plans, Rodrygo may be a player who is better off choosing the option of moving elsewhere.

Arda Guler

As has been proven at Euro 2024, Arda Guler is more than capable of playing for Real Madrid’s first team. In fact, he has the capacity to become one of the best players in the world.

Even so, Madrid’s front line is filled with world-class players, so there is no way for Guler to become a main player at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Considering the fact that Real Madrid is probably the only club that cannot afford such a role to Guler, it may be time for him to leave Los Blancos and become a main player at one of Europe’s other big clubs.
