Manchester United Beat Newcastle 3-2 in a Great Match

Manchester United beat Newcastle United 3-2 in the 34th match of the Premier League at Old Trafford, Wednesday (15/5/2024) local time.

In the 10th minute, Casemiro almost broke into Newcastle’s goal with a corner kick with an acrobatic kick, but the ball still flew narrowly over Newcastle’s crossbar.

Man United again had the opportunity to score a goal. However, Scott McTominay’s header in the 14th minute was too weak for Martin Dubravka to catch easily.

After that, Amad Diallo’s left footed shot from outside the penalty box was also blocked by Dubravka.

Alejandro Garnacho failed to score the first goal for Man United in the 26th minute. From the left side, Garnacho received a through ball from Bruno Fernandes.

The winger from Argentina entered the penalty box and faced Dubravka. However, Garnacho’s right foot shot which directed the ball towards the second post hit Dubravka’s foot.

The Red Devils’ attempt to break into Newcastle’s goal was created in the 31st minute through Kobbie Mainoo’s feet. Mainoo got the ball from Fernandes which Diallo had previously passed.

After escaping Newcastle’s offside trap and without an opposing player guarding him, Mainoo calmly placed the ball in the bottom left corner of the goal.

In the 36th minute Casemiro made a crucial save which prevented Man United’s goal from being conceded. And Burn, who received a pass from Jacob Murphy, headed the ball. Andre Onana couldn’t reach the ball. But when the ball was about to go into the goal, Casemiro headed the ball out.

Newcastle started the second half well after Anthony Gordon scored the equalizer in the 49th minute thanks to Murphy’s assist.

Newcastle’s turn to attack Man United at the start of the second half. In the 52nd minute the Magpies counterattacked.

However, Issak, who was left facing goalkeeper Andre Onana, failed to put Newcastle ahead after his right-footed shot was blocked by Amrabat.

The Red Devils responded quickly to Newcastle’s goal with a goal back in the 57th minute. Bruno Fernandes’ corner kick failed to be cleared perfectly by the opposing player, Amad Diallo kicked the wild ball with his left foot which Dubravka couldn’t block.

Substitute striker Rasmus Hojlund increased the Red Devils’ lead to 3-1 in the 84th minute. Hojlund gets the ball from Fernandes. The Danish player then pushed the ball slightly to the right. Hojlund placed the ball into the bottom left corner of Newcastle’s goal.

The visitors reduced the deficit to 2-3 in the 90+2 minute through Lewis Hall’s spectacular left footed kick. Man United closed the match with a 3-2 win over Newcastle.
