Towards the close of the European summer transfer market, at least five names are still hot commodities. Here are five candidates for Europe’s big transfer market at the last minute.
The summer transfer market for European football clubs has been open since June 9 with the transfer process starting from July 1, and will end on August 31 at 23:00 local time.
After the transfer saga of Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona, Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus to Manchester United, as well as Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan to Chelsea, it is predicted that there will be additional transfer surprises.
As in previous seasons, the deadline for the transfer market was used by the club to lobby; ask for a price less than the claim to a player swap. Here are five of the big transfer candidates.
1. Mbappe to Real Madrid
The issue of Real Madrid’s interest in Kylian Mbappe is not new. Real Madrid are interested and Mbappe also has a desire. Although in line, the process of moving this young star is tough because the price that PSG is selling is very high.
According to many reports, Real Madrid have made a bid of 160 million euros for Mbappe. PSG asked for more, which is 180 million euros. It is not impossible, in the remaining time the matter of this transfer fee will be agreed.
The Spanish public and the world, especially supporters of Los Blancos, made a sign movement on social media #FreeMbappe which had entered the top 20 trending topics in the world. This is like Madrid’s last resort to pressure PSG into releasing Mbappe.
2. Lewandowski to Manchester City
The discourse of Robert Lewandowski will be proposed to Manchester City after the Polish superstar said he wanted to find a new challenge before the age of 35 years. Lewandowski has achieved a lot of success with Bayern Munich.
Incidentally, Man City failed to bring in Harry Kane, the Tottenham Hotspur striker. The Citizens’ efforts to get Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature were lost, because the player chose the first English club he defended, Manchester United.
Man City is believed to be going to redeem the figure of 100 million euros requested by Bayern because they really need a sharp striker figure. Currently, Pep Guardiola’s team does not have a striker of this caliber, but only stacks wing attackers.
3. Saul Niguez to Chelsea
The Spanish midfielder who is now defending Atletico Madrid, Saul Niguez Esclapez, feels that Diego Simeone is not ‘glorified’. Saul, who is a midfielder, is often plotted by the Argentine coach as a left-wing midfielder.
This is what makes Saul feel compelled to leave Atletico this summer. Incidentally, Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel’s care are looking for an energetic midfielder. Tuchel wants the Blues’ midfield to deepen.
Negotiations continued, but were not easy. Until now there has been no agreement between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid. Some British media wrote, most likely Saul will be on loan at Chelsea for a season before being made permanent.
4. Asensio to Arsenal
Arsenal have spent 132 million euros in the transfer market this season for five players. They were Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard. However, Arsenal’s performance is still windy.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is said to have asked for an additional star to strengthen the team this season. The choice fell on Real Madrid’s mature winger who has twice been loaned to other clubs, Marco Asensio.
Asensio’s name has become a commodity because the new coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, is said to be often backing him up. For Asensio this will be an uncomfortable situation, therefore Arsenal’s offer could be the savior of his career.
5. Jules Kunde to Chelsea
One of the young defenders who is predicted to become a big name in the next few seasons is Jules Kunde. The Sevilla centre-back is reliable in one-on-one duels, as well as tenacious in aerial duels with crosses.
Last season the French defender appeared 42 times throughout the season with Sevilla and scored four goals. These statistics make Chelsea interested. But Sevilla set a fairly high price, which is 68.5 million euros.
Incidentally, the team from London just released one defender, Kurt Zouma to West Ham. Funds of 29.8 million euros from Zouma can be used to pay for the transfer fee of Kounde. This transfer is currently being discussed.
