A number of players can replace Harry Kane at Tottenham Hotspur after he agreed to join Manchester City in the 2021/2022 season.
Harry Kane is rumored to be joining Man City this season after breaking record transfers and player salaries in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old striker is said to have agreed to Manchester Blue after the defending Premier League champions agreed a transfer fee of £160 million.
At Man City, Harry Kane will be the successor to Sergio Aguero who did not renew his contract at the Etihad and chose to move to Barcelona.
Losing Kane makes coach Nuno Espirito Santo need to find a replacement for the England striker. The reason is, several names in the Lilywhites squad such as Son Heung Min and Steven Bergwijn are not worthy of being Kane’s replacement.
Therefore, Nuno Espirito Santo is considered to need to find another striker who is considered to have the same quality as Harry Kane.
5 Candidates to Replace Kane After Agreeing to Man City:
1. Gabriel Jesus
Kane’s arrival could make Gabriel Jesus’ fate at Man City unchanged. Gabriel Jesus will continue to be a backing player at The Citizens.
In order to have better minutes, Gabriel Jesus needs to take a step away from the Etihad. Leaving to Tottenham, which Kane left for Man City, could be the right solution for the Brazilian striker. What’s more, Kane’s transfer is claimed to involve Gabriel Jesus who will be included in Tottenham.
2. Dusan Vlahovic
Kane’s leaving can throw Tottenham Hotspur dizzy. The reason, Kane is a prolific striker in the Premier League in the last five years.
However, Tottenham do not need to worry if they bring in Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina. The Serbian player does not have a nick like Kane. However, Vlahovic has the ability to grow to be like Kane.
With a tall stature, Vlahovic is said to have good physical strength. He is also good at controlling the ball and tough in aerial duels. Through a number of criteria, Vlahovic is a good target man. Plus his young age, 21, could be an investment for Tottenham.
3. Romelu Lukaku
Lukaku can be an alternative that makes Tottenham fans calm after Kane left for Man City. Last season the Belgian scored 23 goals and became an elite striker in the Italian League.
However, Tottenham had to pay a heavy price to Inter Milan to be able to sign Lukaku. The defending Serie A champions are claimed to set Lukaku’s official price of £90 million. It is claimed that Inter will not mind releasing Lukaku, because the Nerazzurri are also in financial difficulties.
4. Alexander Isak
If Tottenham want to invest in a striker who has potential, Alexander Isak could be the answer. The Swedish striker is only 21, but has experience playing in the Dutch league, German league and Spanish league.
Despite his tall stature, Isak has agile feet and is fast in processing the ball. Last season Isak scored 16 goals in 33 games for Real Sociedad.
5. Odsonne Edouard
Edouard is being hunted by a number of top European clubs. Tottenham need to be involved in the pursuit of the Frenchman if they don’t want to lose Kane’s replacement.
In his career with Celtic FC, Edouard scored 85 goals in 169 matches. Edouard’s price is also relatively affordable for Tottenham which is in the range of 10-17 million pounds.
