5 Transfers That Can Make Barcelona Fierce Than Before

Failure in the Champions League whipped Barcelona intensively bringing in a row of top players. There are at least five player transfers that can make this Catalonia team even more frightening.

La Liga became the only Barca title this season after being stopped in the Champions League semifinals after being bent by Liverpool and defeated in the Copa del Rey final from Valencia. Despite dominating the domestic title, the collection of Barca titles on the European scene still lags behind their rivals, Real Madrid.

The presence of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele to Camp Nou is considered not able to make Barcelona achieve more achievements. This situation made Ernesto Valverde under great pressure to form the best team squad next season. Although he has officially recruited a young Ajax star, Frenkie de Jong, but there are several positions in the team that still need help. Some big players are targeted and are expected to increase Barcelona’s strength next season.

Reported by Sportskeeda, the following five transfers of players can make Barcelona invincible:

1. Matthijs de Ligt

Ajax young star Matthijs de Ligt was called ready to play for Barcelona. But everything has changed in recent weeks. De Ligt’s neat appearance with Ajax also made every top European club show interest. Starting from Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and finally Real Madrid.

At the age of 19, De Ligt has shown maturity as a captain in the field. In addition to strength, the 2018/19 Eredivisie Best Player is said to have the accuracy of qualified passes and is good at reading games.

2. Junior Firpo

The 23-year-old Real Betis star is staying as the most promising left back in European football today. His game last season attracted a lot of interest from European clubs. Barcelona needs Firpo to be a coating for Jordi Alba, who is now 30 years old.

Firpo became one of the players who brought Real Betis to beat Barcelona 4-3 at Camp Nou last November. In total, he has contributed three goals, four assists and an average of 1.6 tackles per match in 22 appearances.

3. Willian

The Brazilian has become one of the most consistent winger in European football over the past few seasons. The presence of Willian could add to the Blaugrana’s offensive power from the wing sector that Malcom failed to carry.

Even though he is 30 years, Willian has a fascinating technique and experience. The speed and ability to dribble can complicate the defense of any club.

4. Antoine Griezmann

Since choosing to resign from Atletico Madrid, Barcelona has been mentioned as Griezmann’s target. He became a world class player who was consistent with Atletico and France over the past few years.

Griezmann is a versatile attacker who can occupy various positions. His presence at Camp Nou could make Barcelona attack line increasingly frightening when appearing with Messi.

5. Christian Eriksen

The Tottenham Hotspur star is one of the best midfielders in the English and European Premier League. recently he has signaled to leave London.

“I feel that I want to try something new in my career,” Eriksen told Extra Bladet.

The Danish international has become one of the spirits of Tottenham since arriving in 2013. He is a creative midfielder who might make Barcelona look more attractive.
