After the surprise came from BOOM ID team who successfully passed Southeast Asian regional qualification. Bucharest Minor 2019 is now organized by PGL and is the official Valve venue to complete the range of participants.
Bucharest Minor 2019 itself is the second minor title from Valve after the DreamLeague Minor Season 10. Then, this title seems to bring some more frightening names. Who are they? Will this event be more fierce than the previous event?
North American Region – TEAMTEAM
This region only presents one team, namely TEAMTEAM which is strengthened by ixmike88 and friends. They apparently performed brilliantly after being able to get rid of other powerful competitors such as compLexity Gaming.
Even one of the teams that qualified for Chongqing Major 2019 but was disqualified to play. They are ex-paiN X with the team name test123. Appearing confident, TEAMTEAM was able to get rid of test123 and compLexity. With a score of 2-1, TEAMTEAM successfully represented the North American Region.
Latin American Region – Playmaker Esports
The team that is considered foreign to Dota 2 world esports activists. But make no mistake, the roster who filled the player;s bench was no stranger. They are former Infamous players who defend in a new team with a new name. They are able to defeat other competitors such as Infamous, Infamous Young and WP Gaming.
Without any significant obstacles, they are arguably dominating the title. With a score of 2-0 in the final against Infamous, StingeR and friends securing a ticket to Bucharest Minor 2019.
European Regional – OG and Ninjas in Pajamas
Disappointing at a major event is apparently not a reason to stop. OG The International 8 Champions again appeared in Bucharest Minor to reach the last chance to Chongqing Major.
They were apparently able to get away together with another strong team, namely Ninjas in Pajamas. As usual, there were no significant defeats from the NiP and OG teams. They got away with a score of 2-0 from the playoffs.
CIS Region – Gambit Esports
The Gambit Esports team is the representative of the CIS region. They were able to perform perfectly against other playoff teams such as Nemiga, Winstrike and Team Empire.
Then, they only swallowed one defeat against Winstrike despite winning in the end with a score of 2-1. Apart from that they were able to win perfectly with a score of 2-0 without reply.
Chinese Region – Keen Gaming and EHOME
After a long wait, finally the lion slept, EHOME was able to qualify for the competitive stage of Dota 2. After a bad game at The International 6 they could say they were almost absent for 1 year. In fact, they only reap the rewards after bringing in the coach, Xiao8 at the beginning of 2018. But at least EHOME will again color the official minor title made by Valve with Keen Gaming.
Southeast Asian Region – BOOM ID
This news is actually already widespread, especially for those of you who watch fierce matches in the final between BOOM ID against Clutch Gamers. BOOM ID appeared strong by beating the score 2-0 in the playoffs and securing a ticket with a fierce 2-1 match against Skylark and friends.
BOOM ID also became the first team from Indonesia advance to Valve’s official title through a Southeast Asian qualification.
Bucharest Minor 2019 will take place in Romania on January 9-13 2019. A total of 8 teams will compete for the final ticket to Chongqing Major 2019.
With a prize of US$ 300,000 they will compete at PGL Studios which is also held by PGL. Who will advance to the major? Or is it actually BOOM ID capable of returning wildly at main event?
