Bundesliga season – Bayern Munich 2 : 1 Wolfsburg

Opening match of the new Bundesliga season brought us some excellent football and the expected victory of Bayern Munich over Wolfsburg. Friday did seem a bit complicated for the Bayern players, especially in the first half but after a short period of time Bayern got into the possession of the ball and also – of certain amount of control.

However, it is a safe assumption to say that it was expected that Bayern would be leading in the possession of the ball, and also, concerning the result. The first half started a bit rough, but soon Bayern started to strike and play very aggressive.

Wolfsburg felt like someone had tied up their hands first time when in the 12th minute Thomas Muller tried to score from the right side. Unfortunately for the Bayern Munich, he missed, sending the ball straight into the goalkeeper Grun. Six minutes after the first strike that Thomas missed, Robben tried to write in the first goal on the match, but Wolfburg’s goalkeeper was confident as well as the firs time.

Guests tried to wake up in the middle of the first half, but Neuer did have some troubles in getting into the right form of playing. The missed chances did pay off when in the 38th minute Thomas Muller finally scored after receiving a marvelous pass from Arjen Robben.

It was at that moment when both teams left the court for a break and a short fresh-up. However, what happened when they came back didn’t seemed like the Wolfburg’s players had freshen up.

In the mere beginning of the second half of the match Robben played a very confident game. He came into the possession of the ball in the middle of the court and after a Lewandowski’s pass he made the most of the chance scoring the second goal for Bayern Munich that left dust behind itself in the race for the victory.

Somehow it seemed that Wolfburg’s players didn’t lose hope and they managed to scored a very interesting and beautiful goal. Ivica Olic came into the possession of the ball and straight from the penalty box scored the net cutting down the lead of Bayern Munich.

For the third year in a row, Bayern Munich managed to have an exquisite start by having come to a victory over Wolfsburg.
