Bisping: “GSP may have used steroids in the past”

UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and George St-Pierre once again meet in Las Vegas to promote their fight at UFC 217. Both fighters will face each other on November 4, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Speaking recently in his podcast, ‘Believe You Me, the British first came back to the first press conference involving the two fighters in which GSP had mocked Bisping’s uncertain behaviour.

Then the British fighter told that if the fight was canceled on several occasions, it maybe the former welterweight needed that extra time to flush his system of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), to avoid a messy situation with US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).

“I’d had a heavy night before and Georges was taking pleasure in mocking me for my behaviour. So, what then, Georges,” Bisping said MMA.

“I’m 38 years old and I’m in Las Vegas. If you’re man enough to fight me anything soon, I won’t be drinking. When I’m training for a fight I’m very, very dedicated but of course, I’m not training for a fight because I don’t know whether it’s because Georges needs to clear the steroids out of his system before he enters the USADA testing protocol.”

“I don’t know what the reason is but that is definitely a potentially valid reason because you’ve got to get tested for six months before you come back and he did his best to delay it so maybe that was why.” Bisping added.

Bisping has long been one of the most vocal critics of the use of steroids in MMA, he insisted wants to know how many times the Canadian fighters has been tested by the USADA.

According to the USADA, St-Pierre has been tested ten times since he re-entered the USADA Anti-Doping agency protocol last August.

“I have been tested twice during my training camp and they will surely give up because I never have anything to blame myself for. Never,” Bisping said.

“And it costs a lot of money to send agents here but I want to know how often they have tested Georges.” The 38-year-old UFC fighter added.

St-Pierre has not fought since 2013, when he defended his title successfully for the nine times in a row thanks to favourable split decision against Johny Hendricks. The 36-year-old then claimed that he needed a little time off the spotlight since his life became completely crazy.
