Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini will be out for couple weeks after suffering a knee injury against Bosnia in the 2018 World Cup Qualification on Saturday night.
Fellaini had to be replaced after 29 minutes hurting his left knee in an awkward fall. His condition may frustrate for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
Belgium manager Roberto Martinez wasn’t optimistic about Fellaini’s chance to support his national team and The Red Devils since he left the match against Bosnia.
“We are all worried about Fellaini. We fear that there’s ligament damage on his left leg.” Martinez said.
This will be a concern for United in the face of the Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield on this weekend. They will also not have Paul Pogba for a long-term due to his hamstring injury, while Michael Carrick recovers with one stroke.
Under the Portuguese manager, Fellaini has improved his career at United, Mourinho having recently expressed his continuing trust of the 29-year-old midfielder.
Fellaini, before the injury this doubtless had been repaid as Fellaini was among the Red Devils’ best players this season, scoring four goals in his six appearances under Mourinho.
Belgium faces Cyprus on Tuesday in the final day of the qualifying round for the 2018 World Cup and in the resumption of the Premier Manchester United visit to Liverpool this weekend and four days later in Champions League to face Benfica.

Romelu Lukaku on the other hand, he had also ruled out for Belgium due to his an ankle problem. This is more problem for Mourinho to gain full point when they travel to Anfield this weekend. However, United’s fans are hoped Lukaku will be fit to face Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Mourinho can’t have too many protests about his duty this season at Old Trafford. United is currently at second place with 19 points in the Premier League table standings after playing 7 games so far. Only goal difference separates from its city rivals, Manchester City.
Former Chelsea manager and his team are huge favorite to win the title this season. However, it will be difficult when an injury crisis is lingering over him at Old Trafford.
