Real Madrid could make a big move in 2018 after their squad playing poor since the start of the season. They have 25 goals scored after playing 14 games in La Liga so far.
However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists and doesn’t necessarily want to recruit this winter despite this unprecedented offensive failure.
But that should change as early as next summer and the contenders are as numerous as they are talented. If Tottenham Hotspur Harry Kane puts the top spot ahead, a leading offensive midfielder could also join Madrid in the near future.
According to Spanish newspaper, Chelsea striker Eden Hazard, Man City striker Raheem Sterling and Liverpool new signing Mohamed Salah are among the potential targets at Madrid.
The Los Blancos have earmarked Hazard as their first-choice target to replace Gareth Bale for next summer’s transfer window.
Hazard admitted that he would like to join Madrid at the end of the season but at this time he is happy at Stamford Bridge under his contract in June 2020.
Speaking to the media in last November, Hazard had revealed his dream to play under Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane.
“Everyone knows the respect I have for the man. For he player he was and for the coach he is, he was my idol.” Hazard said.
“Of course I don’t know what will happen in my career in the future, but to play under him would be a dream.” the Belgian added.
Real Madrid also have been linked with Manchester City Raheem Sterling. The 22-year-old winger has enjoyed a superb starts to the 2017/18 season, scoring 13 goals in 23 games so far.
