British media fear Chelsea boss Antonio Conte could quit the club at the end of the season. The Italian boss is in his second season at Stamford Bridge but is reportedly unhappy with the Blues current position in EPL standings so far.
Speaking to media on last weekend, Conte told he was willing to stay at Chelsea, but also hope that club speculation can make a statement in support of him.
However, the 48-year-old manager has admitted he faces the possibility of the sack after Chelsea failing to beat Watford on Monday’s match.
“I have to be honest. I have a lot of speculations and gossips since the season’s first game against Burnley,” Conte said.
“Maybe I would prefer the club to prepare a statement that they trust me. But at the same time, I also know that it has never happened before, so why should I be treated differently?
“Certainly, I hope the club can have a statement to refute the rumor. The point is that in the past, the club has never done that.
“I have always been unreservedly to Chelsea. I think I have tried. If the club can recognise me, I intend to negotiate with them, why not?” Conte added.

When asked whether he would extend his contract in the team, former Juventus responded that he would remain at the Stamford Bridge at least 2019.
“Of course, I’m not saying I’d like to discuss the new contract with the team at the press conference, and my contract expired in 2019 summer. Until then, my will and my energy will be focused on Chelsea.” Conte said.
“Yes, Arsene Wenger was indeed a lot people criticised, bur he has been in Arsenal for 20 years, and I only year and a half. Don’t forget, lass season we got to the Premier League as a dark horse champion.
“My goal now is to continue coaching a season in Premier League. I have to respect the contract I signed. That’s my decision. Then let’s see what will happen.” Conte added.
On April 2016, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich announced Chelsea had appointed Conte as its new manager, replacing Jose Mourinho. His first campaign was successful one, winning the English Premier League title at the first effort, while also taking Chelsea to the FA cup final against Arsenal.
