John Cena challenges Undertaker to WrestleMania match

John Cena challenged The Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania as the fallout from Elimination Chamber reached Raw.

Cena spoke about his failure to secure a match at the biggest WWE show of the year at both Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber and publicly called out the Phenom – who has not competed since last year’s Mania defeat to Roman Reigns – for a contest at this year’s event.

He admitted it was unlikely Undertaker would accept and that he would appear at tonight’s episode of SmackDown to continue his quest to find an opponent for the April extravaganza in New Orleans.

Undertaker, who gave an ambiguous speech at Raw 25 after appearing to retire following his loss to Reigns, has never faced Cena in a high-profile one-on-one contest and they have not appeared in the ring together since a non-televised house show in February 2010.

Lesnar no-shows Reigns meeting

As a reward for winning the men’s Elimination Chamber match, Roman Reigns will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at WrestleMania, and the plan had been for the pair to meet face to face on last night’s Raw.

But Lesnar failed to show up, leading to a series of in-ring accusations from Reigns relating to the champion’s “special attraction” working relationship with the company and the growing rumours linking him with a return to UFC.

Reigns, to a loud positive reaction from the crowd, called Lesnar “entitled” and said “we were in Vegas last night and Brock was in Vegas. But he wasn’t at our event, he was taking pictures on social media with Dana White, the UFC owner.

“He doesn’t respect me, he doesn’t respect any of you and he doesn’t respect anyone in that locker room. And we’re all sick of it.”

McMahon apologies to Rousey

Stephanie McMahon, citing her role and responsibilities as one of the key corporate players in WWE, agreed to resolve the differences she and Triple H had with Ronda Rousey at Elimination Chamber, culminating in a heartfelt apology to the former UFC champion.

Rousey put Triple H through a table before signing her contract at Chamber after Kurt Angle informed her of some backstage comments made by him about her.

Angle apologised for that, McMahon apologised for slapping Rousey and all appeared to be well.

But Triple H levelled the Raw general manager with a punch before making his exit.

Rollins, Balor targeting Intercontinental title

Fresh from a win over reigning Intercontinental champion The Miz – in a non-title match – Seth Rollins found himself confronted by Finn Balor, who made his traditional ring entrance.

Rollins departed and Balor was put into a match, also against The Miz and also under non-title rules, which he duly won.

The Kingslayer, however, was not impressed, suggesting Balor’s win was worth less because it was against a tired opponent and that it is he who should get a title shot at WrestleMania.
