Yggdrasil Gaming Limited premieres YGS Masters initiative

Online casino games developer Yggdrasil Gaming Limited has announced the debut of its Yggdrasil Game Server (YGS) Masters scheme that will see it invite independent parties to utilize a semi-open platform in order to help it create new and innovative titles. A subsidiary of Swedish online casino operator Cherry AB, Yggdrasil Gaming Limited declared that the invitation-only initiative is to be led by Stuart McCarthy, its new Head of Studio Partnerships, and will see developers given access to its Boost collection of in-game promotional tools for the purposes of developing unique editions of these innovations before being permitted to run their own network campaigns.

McCarthy, who was previously employed by BetClic Everest Group and NYX Gaming Group Limited, described YGS Masters as ‘a hugely exciting development for the gaming industry’ and an initiative that he was ‘immensely proud to be leading’. “The program will be independently managed away from the existing Yggdrasil [Gaming Limited] games studio business and will furnish a very select group of the world’s best game developers with [our] proven market-leading Boost tools to create an irresistible mix of awesome content and features,” read a Thursday statement from McCarthy.

Fredrik Elmqvist, Chief Executive Officer for Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming Limited, stated that YGS Masters is a ‘strategic initiative’ that has been created ‘in reaction to gaming’s increasingly fragmented value chain’. “With direct integrations scarce, independent suppliers require the support of an established partner with forward-leaning technology,” read a statement from Elmqvist. “Operators and game studios alike have been crying out for years for a modern open platform that offers the power and flexibility of Boost and the broad market penetration that Yggdrasil [Gaming Limited] has amassed.”
