Romelu Lukaku has advised Alexis Sanchez to keep his head down and he will soon recapture his best form for Manchester United. The Belgian suffered a dry spell towards the end of last year but has rediscovered his scoring touch in 2018: scoring 10 in his last 14 games. Sanchez has just one goal in 10 games since swapping clubs with Henrikh Mkhitaryan but Lukaku believes the good times are not far away. Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez has struggled for form since joining the club and his team mate Romelu Lukaku has given him some advice.
Romelu Lukaku has told Alexis Sanchez ‘hard work’ will get him through his tough Manchester United spell. The Chilean has failed to reach his best form since signing for United in January – but Lukaku believes he has the answer. Lukaku went through his own difficult period towards the end of last year but has found form in 2018 by scoring 10 in his last 14 games. His new teammate has hit just one goal in 10 games and been criticised for his performance levels since swapping the Emirates for Old Trafford. But Lukaku is confident Sanchez will find his form and has issued him some advice on how he can do it.
“As long as he keeps working hard like he does, I think he’ll come good for us,” Lukaku said. “He is a quality player with a lot of assets. Look at my situation. I started really well and then had the dry spell in November and December. “But at the end of the day with hard work you are always going to get through it.” Both Sanchez and Lukaku are away with their respective national sides and Sanchez will be hoping to pick up some of his form in Chile’s friendlies against Denmark and Sweden before United’s next game against Swansea in the Premier League. Sanchez is now away with Chile, who are rebuilding after missing out on qualification for the 2018 World Cup. Friendlies with Denmark and Sweden, who both made it to Russia, are La Roja’s opponents and Sanchez will hope to pick up some form to take back to his club.
