McGregor’s manager releases statement following an incident ahead of Saturday’s UFC 223 card in Brooklyn

Conor McGregor’s manager Audie Attar on Friday has released statement on his Twitter account following an incident, who involved the Irish star on Saturday’s UFC 223 card.

“I don’t know if he’s on drugs or what his deal is, but to come and do this and act like this? And you’re talking about a guy who had baby? He just had a kid. This is how you’re acting? You have a son at home.” posted Attar after the UFC 223.

“So much rumour, and misinformation about my client, Conor McGregor. The matter is in the hands of law enforcement and I cannot really say more.

“Conor is a great father, a fiercely loyal friend, and one of the best athletes in the world. He looks forward to getting back to fighting as soon as possible.” Attar added.

McGregor was arrested on Thursday night at Brooklyn police department. A video footage appeared to show the 29-year-old fighter throwing a guard rail at the bus full of MMA stars. His attack resulted in three fights being pulled from Saturday’s card.

However, McGregor is allowed to fly home on $ 50,000 bail. There is a huge doubt surrounding his feature with the UFC but former lightweight champion still wants to fight into the octagon alongside the new lightweight UFC champion.

UFC president Dana White on the other hand, he demanded McGregor to clear up his legal problems before there’s real reasoning about putting him back in the octagon as soon as possible.

The new lightweight UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, he plans to defend his belt and hoped he could fight McGregor in same day after he won the title in the UFC 223 main event.

“I hope he’s going to fight, we have to fight. Like make world tour. Like Tokyo, Moscow, Dublin, Los Angeles, Rio, everywhere. Big world tour, promote this fight and fight end of the year, biggest arena in the world. Madison Square Garden, I’m here.” Nurmagomedov said at the UFC 223 post-fight conference.

“He wants to become lightweight champion? He has to fight with me. No more all these fake champions. You guys remember when he put tweet, ‘Beg me. Please beg me’. the Russian champion added.
