Sebastian Vettel is not yet completely satisfied with his Ferrari SF71-H after the first day in Barcelona, but it seemed more in the game during the second session.
Speaking to media, the 30-year-old F1 driver told that they have made the car seem to be working and hope it will be faster at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
“As for the balance of the car, we will have to play again with the weights. The good news is that all the improvements we have made to the car seem to be working,” Vettel said.
“But the biggest change is at the level of the car. They’re behaving differently than usual, it’s been very slippery today and also very windy, and I’m sure we’ll be faster tomorrow.” Vettel added.
After the second practice session, the German driver said that aerodynamics are not the main reason new mirror are attached to the Halo of the cars.
“Most of the cars now follow our trend, the sidepods and some of the bargeboards. It is confirmation that we are heading the right way.” Vettel said.
“I can see better what’s going on around the rear wing, I think the Halo still does not look good, but with the retro it’s a bit less ugly.
“In recent weeks, we’ve brought some stuff that other teams have copied afterwards, such as what we’ve done with the side baffles this year.

“You’re sure I thought I had already had a better time here, so this is something we need to rectify on Saturday! In general, I find it hard to get a definite opinion on Friday’s issue for most of us. The fast laps have not been on top, so we do not know how fast the competing cars are.
“I don’t have complete confidence in the car yet, and without that, you’re not getting everything out of the car, it’s going to change tomorrow, but we still have a lot of work ahead of us.
“Fridays are here, I know I can get out of the car, I can do better myself, but what’s exciting is that here you can get first or sixth depending on how the work goes.” Vettel added.
