Tyson Fury wins by TKO in round 4 over Sefer Seferi

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made a winning return to the ring against Albanian Sefer Seferi on Saturday in Manchester, United Kingdom.

The Gypsy King has successfully won his first match over two years, since beating the Ukrainian, Wladimir Klitschko, in 2015 for world heavyweight champion title. But he had not fought since, partly because of a suspension for doping after a positive test at the nandrolone and cocaine.

Seferi threw in the towel after the fourth round, triggering whistles in the crowd, while the fight scheduled for 10 rounds had not held its meager promises until then. He was lacking in technique, weight, and height, but he was really trying to make something of this.

Conceding 25 centimeters and 30 kilograms to his opponent, the former heavy-lightweight logically showed caution but, more surprisingly, his opponent made the same choice.

“I was in no hurry, I was taking my time. I’ll be better next time. I’ll have more rounds and fight a better opponent,” Furry said, who wanted to retain the joy of being an athlete again.

“I learned two and a half years is a long time to be out. I’ll take my career very seriously this time and enjoy every moment.” he added.

By his own confession, Fury has to face his fellow likes IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO title holder Anthony Joshua or American WBC world heavyweight champions Deontay Wilder if he is to build a lasting legacy.

Fury had called out Joshua and Wilder in November 2017. He wanted to emulate the legend Muhammad Ali and reclaim his title back.

“This is my era they are from my time. I must destroy them. AJ and Wilder I’m coming back for you pair my mission is seek and destroy the only thing on my mind is destruction who ever gets in my way will be dealt with accordingly.” Furry said.

“There’s only one winner and that’s the fans! Let’s make the heavyweight great again, fight the best in the division, Fury = lineal champ.” Fury added.

Joshua had added his title on March 31, when he defeated Joseph Parker by decision at the Principality Stadium in Cardif, Wales. He is just now heavyweight title away from unifying the whole division.
