Brazil are expected to continue their good run in the 2018 World Cup campaign when they battle at Spartak Satadium, Moscow, against Serbia on this June 27.
Brazil are coming into this game after beating a 2-0 win over Costa Rica in St Petersburg Stadium on last Friday. Having been frustrated for the full 90 minutes game, they were saved by Philippe Coutinho’s late goal before PSG superstar Neymar hit moments later to confirm the victory.
Tite’s side have been in their superb form so far. They managed one draw and one win in their last two games in Group E. They are currently sitting on the top of Group E standings with four points.
The head coach has nothing reason to rotate his formation. Coutinho, Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Paulinho are expected to start Brazil’s lineup. A draw is enough to advance to the round of 16 in this match.
Meanwhile, Serbia have also been getting ready for the big match, and they look in good spirits against the five-time champions on this Thursday morning.
Serbia opened the tournament with a 1-0 win against Costa Rica and then suffered a 2-1 win at the hands of Switzerland in their second match on June 23.
Obviously Serbia have scored exactly once in each of their last four World Cup matches, leading to two victories 1-0 over Germany in 2010, Costa Rica in 2018 and a one 2-1 defeats over Australia in 2010.
There is much more pressure on Serbia in this match, they definitely need a miracle, but if they can stay in the game until the last minutes, their chances are even greater than Brazil.
Serbia head coach Mladen Krstajic has no reason not to rotate his formation. His men need to get a good point if they want to go next stage. If they play draw or lose, they are out.
