Twitter casino industry forum comes to Monaco from Thursday

The European Casino Association has announced that it will be holding the latest edition of its annual Casino Industry Forum on Thursday and Friday from inside Monaco’s iconic Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo and Casino de Monte-Carlo. According to an official Wednesday press release published , the European Casino Association stated that the two-day extravaganza will see top executives from the licensed land-based casino sector gather alongside a range of suppliers and experts to discuss key issues currently impacting the industry.

The European Casino Association explained that this year’s edition of the Casino Industry Forum, which has been organized in partnership with Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer, is to host its annual general assembly alongside several dedicated seminars due to feature a plethora of policymakers and stakeholders. The trade organization stated that the issue of gender diversity will feature high on its discussion agenda alongside anti-money laundering development and trends. “We look forward to welcoming our members, partners and all speakers to the 2018 Casino Industry Forum at the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo in Monaco,” read a statement from Per Jaldung, Chairman for the European Casino Association. “The exclusive event, which is continuously growing, will once again offer the chance to share best practices and provide the structured network for our industry that we envisage for our members and partners.”

The European Casino Association revealed that attendees will be able to discuss the growing prevalence of unlicensed online and land-based gambling and how the industry, consumers and governments can work together to better combat these illegal operations. It detailed that delegates will furthermore be able to learn about the enforcement actions recently taken by a number of jurisdictions before being invited to join in a talk about whether the sector needs more strident legislation. “The issues we will discuss show our ongoing commitment to taking concrete action on some of the key societal challenges of our time in line with our membership of the United Nations Global Compact and support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,” read the statement from Jaldung.
