Tottenham Hotspur won their second Premier League victory after beating promotion club Fulham 3-1 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (8/18).
Tottenham, who is determined to win three points in front of the public itself, immediately pressured from the early minutes. Tottenham’s left wing, Ben Davies, almost scored in the first minute using Jean Michael Sari’s blunder. Unfortunately, Davies’ shot from outside the penalty box failed to find a target.
This match is absolutely owned by the host with ball possession which is always above 65-70 percent. Nevertheless, The Lilywhites still have difficulty scoring goals.
A goal from Tottenham only came in the final minutes of Lucas Moura’s first half. The goal began with Christian Eriksen’s pressure from the right side. Eriksen who was in the penalty box intended to give feedback to the middle of the goal, but was able to break Calum Chambers.
It’s just that, Chambers who intend to throw the ball just makes the ball move wild in the Fulham penalty box. Three minutes later, striker Harry Kane completed Tottenham’s victory in the 77th minute to 3-1. Kane scored using a Dele Alli pass. Once getting feedback from Eric Lamela, Kane successfully beat a Fulham defender before placing the ball into the left corner of the opponent’s goal. Tottenham are now collecting six points from the opening two games of the 2018/2019 Premier League.
