Marc Marquez fails to reach pole position at Aragon MotoGP

Best time of the day, Marc Marquez surprised this Friday at Motorland Aragon. First dominated, the Spaniard then became the dominator of the MotoGP squad.

The MotoGP leader Marquez initially seemed to be behind the Ducati riders, who dominated the first free practice session. Then, the Spaniard showed his claws. This is all the more remarkable because unlike them, Marquez had not tested here before.

Aragon is one of those Marquez tracks after all, he might not have the same impeccable record like at the Sachsenring or Austin, but it’s bee victory or crash for him at the Motorland track since he joined MotoGP

“Today we worked well and progressed a lot between morning and afternoon, especially with the rear tyre. It was our first day at Motorland this season and we had to adjust the settings and electronics, he explains. We must continue to work like that tomorrow, and aim for a new pole position on the Grand Prix of Aragon.” Marquez said.

“At the end of the FP2 everyone put a new rear tyre, like us. It may be the first Friday we did it this year! This is important to understand the changes made on the machine.

“Now we have less doubts, but we also want to reconfirm something tomorrow. Luckily the weather is good, and very hot. Ducati has tested here so we must leave nothing to chance to be at the same level.” Marquez added.

With his victory at Misano, Andrea Dovizioso regained his spirits and took the bull by the horns to go to Honda for the title of the manufacturers to offer on a silver platter to Ducati.

Everything is still playable and no doubt that Dovizoso, Jorge Lorenzo and Danilo Petrucci are already at work to achieve it. The Championship pilot will escape the red is obvious but the title constructor and the acquis

“Aragon is a very nice track and above all, it is quite different from Misano where I won the MotoGP race for the first time two weeks ago.” Dovizioso said.

“In the end of August test, we really worked well and I think I expect to be fast, just like Jorge and Marc. We keen for the victory but it’s not easy.” Dovizioso added.
