Kylian Mbappe has enjoyed a bright star to life in the French capital and his fans expect him to deliver unprecedented success.
The French international has made a huge impact at Paris Saint-Germain since his € 180 million plus bonuses move from AS Monaco last year.
Mbappe also made his name on the international football scene in 2016/17 season as part of a Monaco side that coach Leonardo Jardim led to the French Ligue 1 title and the Champions League semifinals. The 19-year-old striker has scored four goals and assisted three in Ligue 1 for PSG so far.
According to reports, Mbappe could land in Manchester City in January, with Raheem Sterling who does not fully responds to the expectations in the Premier League likely to be sold in order to finance the move.
However, City’s head coach Pep Guardiola has insisted the deal was never a possibility and never going to happen in the near future.
“That is not going to happen. Sometimes I don’t understand where the news comes from. Manchester City don’t have, and are not going to spend, the money that Mbappe deserves, or PSG deserves.” Guardiola told journalist.
“PSG is not going to sell this kind of player to any other club in the world for the next years, I guess. So that is not going to happen.
“Mbappe is not going to come here and we are not going to swap Raheem Sterling or another top player that we have.” Guardiola added.

Manchester United, meanwhile, were one of a number of Premier League clubs to have scouted the forward extensively and hoped to add him to their ranks.
Asked about second match in Champions League, Guardiola admits that he has put the Citizens under pressure to get three points against Hoffenheim on Tuesday.
“We have five finals to qualify. In the Champions League we don’t have time to lose a lot of games. We missed the first one so we know the situation – five finals and tomorrow is the first one.” Guardiola said.
City will travel to Anfield Stadium against title rivals Liverpool this weekend. They have a number of injury concerns, one of which is the Argentine Sergio Aguero.
