Juventus won a victory over the hosts Empoli with a score of 2-1 in the Italian League continued at Carlo Castellani Stadium on Saturday (27/10). Cristiano Ronaldo became the star of victory in this match with two goals scored.

The Old Lady immediately stepped on the gas when referee Gianpaolo Calvarese blew first. Juventus’ death trident on the front lines Paulo Dybala, Federico Bernardeschi and Cristiano Ronaldo spread threats in Empoli’s goal. However, there were no goals created because of the impressive defensive line of Empoli.

Empoli gave a surprise for Juventus in the 28th minute. In an attack scheme, Juventus back line cannot give a good response to throwing the ball. Francesco Caputo did not waste the opportunity. He fired a shot at the right corner that Wojciech Szczesny could not capture.

Overall, Empoli were able to fight equally against Juventus in the first round. Empoli fired four shots, three of which were right on target, compared to Juventus who only got two shots on target from seven shot attempts.

Left behind 0-1 in the first round made Juventus try to directly suppress Empoli’s defense. After Miralem Pjanic’s shot failed to produce a goal in the 48th minute, Juventus finally had the chance to equalize in the 54th minute with a penalty awarded by referee Gianpaolo Calvarese.

Penalties awarded after Paulo Dybala were deemed violated by Ismael Bennacer. Empoli players were able to protest the decision but the referee remained at his stand.

Cristiano Ronaldo who acts as the executor is able to carry out his duties well. Ronaldo sent the ball in the opposite direction from the reaction of goalkeeper Ivan Provedel who jumped to the left.

After equalizing to 1-1, Ronaldo then scored his second goal in the 70th minute. After receiving a ball from Blaise Matuidi, Ronaldo decided to fire hard from outside the penalty box. The ball slid into the right corner of the Empoli goal.

In the remaining time, Empoli tried to pressure Juventus but the balance of the Bianconeri team was able to reduce Empoli’s attack. A score of 2-1 lasts until the end of the match.
