Solskjaer Perfect Start, Manchester United Beat Cardiff City 5-1

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made his debut well because he brought Manchester United to victory when they travel to Cardiff City Stadium, Wales, Saturday (12/22).

Man United started the victory thanks to goals scored by Marcus Rashford when the match had only been running for three minutes with a free kick which the Filipino goalkeeper Neil Etheridge could not anticipate.

Superiority makes the Red Devils more confident in playing under the direction of Solskjaer.

In the 29th minute a long ball from David De Gea was secured by Paul Pogba who then directed the ball to Ander Herrera. The Spanish midfielder then took the decision to kick the ball with a strong goal.

The advantage of Man United was minimized by the hosts. The assistant referee judged Rashford to control the ball with his hand in the penalty box. Victor Camarasa who appeared as a penalty shooter managed to break into De Gea’s goal in the 38th minute.

Just three minutes from Cardiff’s goal, Man United again changed the score on the scoreboard. The cooperation of one of the two Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard ended with Martial cheats that made the ball lodged in the right corner of the Cardiff goal.

The 3-1 score in the first half did not make Man United complacent. The attacking game continues to be displayed by Pogba and his friends.

In the 55th minute referee Michael Oliver pointed to the spot after seeing Lingard dropped by Souleymane Bamba. Lingard who advanced as the executor performed the task well by tricking Etheridge and adding to the Red Devils goal.

Man United’s attack power was maintained until the end of the match, as evidenced by Lingard’s goal which took advantage of Pogba’s breakthrough pass in the 90th minute

The 5-1 win over Cardiff made Man United bag three points and is now ranked sixth with 29 points or eight points adrift of Arsenal who are ranked fifth. While Cardiff is ranked 17th with 14 points.

Before the match between Cardiff and Man United there was a surprise in the match of Week 18 of the Premier League with Manchester City’s 2-3 defeat to Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium. Ilkay Guendogan’s goals were reply by Jefferey Schulp, Andros Townsend and Luka Milivojevic. The Citizens are only able to reduce the lag through Kevin de Bruyne.

Another top club that also felt defeat in the 18th week was Chelsea. Playing at Stamford Bridge, the Blues lost 0-1 to Leicester City. The Foxes’ single goal was scored by Jamie Vardy in the 51st minute.

Man City are now stuck in second place with 44 points and Chelsea did not move from fourth place with 37 points.
