Aubameyang Two Goals, Arsenal Beat Burnley 3-1

The goals of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alex lwobi ensured Arsenal’s victory over Burnley in the English Premier League which took place at Emirates Stadium, London, England, Saturday (12/22). Arsenal went through the 18th week by playing a 4-3-1-2 formation to host Burnley who used a 5-3-2 formation.

The early minute attack by the hosts almost brought the opening goal. Joe Hart and James Tarkowski’s deficits dampened the chances of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Aubameyang. Burnley’s defense really worked hard to block the Gunners attack who tried to exploit both sides of the wing.

In the 14th minute, Arsenal who played the ball near the Burnley penalty box ensured the first goal. Mesut Oezil’s bait was greeted by Sead Kolasinac who ran into the left side of the penalty box and then gave a cutback bait to Aubameyang. The undefeated Gabon striker did not waste the opportunity by cheating the round skin into the goal.

Burnley had difficulty responding to Arsenal’s game making it easier for the hosts to have the ball. But there was no significant pressure until the first half ended with a score of 1-0. Three minutes of the second half went on, the score changed after Aubameyang broke into Hart’s goal for the second time. Receiving feedback from Alexandre Lacazette, Aubameyang in the box 16 made twice control before firing a powerful shot at Burnley’s goal.

After barely being able to create a threat to the host goal, The Clarets began to take the initiative to attack after lagging behind 0-2. In the 56th minute cooperation between Charlie Taylor and Chris Wood failed to minimize the position. A minute later, Chris Long and Kolasinac’s duel made the ball hit the Arsenal defender’s hand in the penalty box but there was no whistle for a penalty.

The failure of the Arsenal player swept the ball perfectly giving Burnley the advantage to score through Ashley Barnes in the 63rd minute while reducing the lag. Seven minutes later Jack Cork threw away an opportunity to equalize after his shot went wide.

Arsenal who looked shaky in the second half scored again in the final minutes of the second half. Alex lwobi, who took the place of Lacazette, maximized the ball rebound to maintain a two-goal margin over the visitors. The North London squad secured three point thanks to a 3-1 victory over Burnley. Victory made Arsenal secure fifth place with 37 points.
