The fourth minor Dota 2, OGA Dota Pit Minor has finally ended put forth Ninjas in Pajamas as the new champion after the drama 5 game in the final.
The journey of Ninjas in Pajamas to the minor is actually not too smooth. In the group stage, they have to settle for third place after only winning one victory.
Ninjas in Pajamas is incorporated in group A, along with RNG, BOOM ID, and Gambit Esports. Although they managed to win over Gambit, they had to swallow two defeats over BOOM ID and RNG. Fortunately, this tournament group phase does not affect their position in the playoffs so will still start the playoff double elimination from the upper bracket.
However, they actually showed their strength in the playoffs where NiP always won 2-0 over their 3 opponents namely Majestic Esports, Forward Gaming and Alliance.
While for EHOME itself, the trip to their final was even more challenging where they had to be in the lower bracket round from the start after losing 2-0 to BOOM ID.
This fighting spirit of the two teams seems to make the grand final run very exciting and must even last up to 5 games.
Even Ninjas in Pajamas and EHOME chase each other to get victory. In almost every game the spectators or fans from both teams are able to sweat with a victory that cannot be predicted. The five games did not run easily, this was proven by the duration of the match over 40 minutes.
The first game, NiP used the draft QoP, Shadow Shaman, Bane, Morphling, and Broodmother to beat EHOME with a duration of 51 minutes. In the second game, EHOME with the draft Wraith King, Winter Wyvern, Nyx Assasins, Leshrac and Medusa won the match. Unfortunately, the third game, EHOME that uses the draft Eartshaker, Wraith King, Keeper of the Light, Sniper and Omniknight cannot win the match. The third game belongs to NiP, and this third game takes up to 58 minutes in duration.
But the fourth game did not side with NiP, EHOME managed to win the fourth game and forced NiP to play five games in the final. Luck did not seem to be on EHOME’s side, the attack from the Chinese team was unable to win the match. Until after 67 minutes later, Ninjas in Pajamas managed to force EHOME to surrender.
Even so, it seems that Ninjas in Pajamas was able to play very well and able to finish the game with a final score of 3-2 while making them the OGA Dota Pit Minor champions.
NiP, which won the prize, was entitled to a cash prize of US $ 125,000 and a DPC of 120 points which delivered it to 7th place in the temporary DPC ranking.
The victory of Ninjas in Pajamas also brought them the last place at the MDL Disneyland Paris Major which will be held on 4 May.
