5 Candidates to Replace Allegri in Juventus

Juventus have announced the departure of Massimiliano Allegri at the end of this season. At least five new Juventus coach candidates are substitutes for Allegri.

After five seasons training Juventus, Allegri decided to leave Turin. Through the club’s official website, Friday (17/5), Juventus said Allegri will hold a press conference with Club President Andrea Agnelli.

Rumors of Allegri’s departure have emerged in recent weeks. A number of new coaches were linked to Juventus. Here are five new Juventus coach candidates for Allegri:

1. Antonio Conte

Conte was a Juventus coach in 2011 to 2014. The former Juventus captain collected three Scudetto titles and two Italian Super Cups. In 2014 Conte decided to leave Juventus to train the Italian national team after having differed views with club management regarding the sale of players.

After training the Italian national team, Conte was trusted to coach Chelsea in 2016, but was subsequently fired in 2018. Conte has not trained since being sacked by Chelsea. Conte is also rumored to be negotiating to train Inter Milan.

2. Pep Guardiola

Quoted from Calciomercato, Sky Sports GB journalist Olivero claims Juventus have contacted Pep Guardiola. Cristiano Ronaldo is rumored to want the Manchester City manager to become the new coach of Juventus next season.

3. Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has not handled the club since being sacked by Manchester United in December 2018. Since being fired by Manchester United, Mourinho has often worked as a commentator on television stations.

One barrier for Mourinho to coach Juventus is the beautiful history of The Special One with Inter Milan. Mourinho coached Inter throughout 2008 to 2010 until he won the treble.

4. Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is also linked to Juventus. Italian media TuttoSport reported that Juventus had contacted agent Sarri to discuss the possibility of going to Turin next season. Sarri’s position at Chelsea is likely to be determined from the Europa League final against Arsenal on 29 May.

Sarri has a lot of experience in the Italian League with the last success in dealing with Napoli throughout 2015 until 2018 becoming a contender for Juventus.

5. Mauricio Pochettino

The success of Mauricio Pochettino led Tottenham Hotspur to the Champions League final claimed by Italian media Calciomercato to make Juventus interested in recruiting him. Pochettino’s relationship with Tottenham management is reportedly stretching after failing to bring in players in the last two transfer markets.
