Suzuki Manager Still Aims to Collect Points at French MotoGP 2019

The manager of the Suzuki Ecstar team, Davide Brivio, still targets points for the drivers in the 2019 French MotoGP race on Sunday (05/19/2019).

The target was carried out after the minor results achieved by the two drivers, Alex Rins and Joan Mir, in the qualifying session which was held on Saturday (05/18/2019).

Suzuki manager Davide Brivio still hopes that both drivers, Rins and Mir, are able to secure points in the fifth series of MotoGP this season.

Joan Mir ended the qualifying session held at the Le Mans Circuit with 18th place after incising the fastest lap time of 1 minute 40, 606 seconds.

The main Hamamatsu squad driver, Rins, also did not achieve a better result. He must be willing to start the race right behind Joan Mir. Alex Rins claimed to have made a fatal mistake while competing in the 2019 French MotoGP qualifying session at Circuit Burgatti, Le Mans, France.

He made the wrong decision by using dry type tires. In fact, when the qualifying session took place, the condition of the track was still wet from the rain. “We had a little problem during the qualifying session, I was very difficult to run the strategy,” said Rins.

Alex Rins only won the fastest lap time of 1 minute 40, 706 seconds.

Despite having to start the race from a disadvantage, the 23-year-old driver is determined to appear aggressive from the start.

Rins said if he would try to overtake many racers to cut the distance with the riders who are in the front group.

Davide Brivio still believes if the two mainstay riders are still able to do something to earn points in this race.

“However I am very much looking forward to the race tomorrow, whatever the conditions,” said Davide Brivio, quoted from the official website of the Suzuki Ecstar team.

“We will try hard and try to secure as many points as possible. This will be a difficult race, but that is the reality,” Brivio said.

A similar situation has also been experienced by Suzuki Ecstar when playing the first race of the season which was held at the Losail Circuit, Qatar.

At that time, Mir and Rins started the race from an unfavorable sequence.

However, they both managed to secure points in the race that was held that night.
