First Time, Ubisoft Holds Rainbow Six Pro League Finals in Asian Countries

Rainbow Six Pro League Finals is one of the routine events for esports fans of Rainbow Six: Siege. After a season that lasted approximately four months, with leagues scattered in various regions of the world, Rainbow Six: Best Siege teams finally met in the elimination tournament format to find out who is the strongest.

Pro League Season 9 Finals just ended on May 19, resulting in Team Empire as champions after they silenced the Evil Geniuses team. Team Empire has the right to bring home prizes worth US $ 75,000, and get a slot to compete in the upcoming Six Invitationals 2020.

After Rainbow Six Pro League Season 9, there was no time to waste because Ubisoft immediately joined the Rainbow Six Pro League Season 10 competition. Uniquely, for the first time, the Rainbow Six Pro League Finals stage will be held in the Asia Pacific region (APAC ), exactly Japan.

The event which is planned to take place on November 9-10 2019 will take place in a new location, the Aichi Sky Expo, Tokoname city, Japan. According to Ubisoft, Pro League Season 8 APAC Finals are less satisfying because they can only facilitate a few fans to watch the show directly. Now with the use of the Aichi Sky Expo they hope that Rainbow Six Pro League Season 10 Finals can attract more masses. Moreover, the Rainbow Six community in Japan is known to have high commitment. Surely this event will be an unforgettable event.

Like the previous season, Rainbow Six Pro League Season 10 Finals gathered eight teams from four competition regions namely Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe, Latin America (LATAM), and North America. In addition to the Pro League competition, Ubisoft also provides several other competition channels, such as the Six Major which this year will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The tournament will be attended by 16 teams. There is also a very prestigious Six Invitational, which invites the strongest teams from all the Rainbow Six: Siege competitions a year back and offers tantalizing prizes. This is still coupled with other competitions on a smaller scale.

Uniquely, the whole competition is intertwined with each other. The ongoing competition also means that the team is more likely to win prize money, while newcomer teams can fight in the lower division league to compete for positions as Pro League participants. This competition system that resembles conventional sports is one of Ubisoft’s steps to ensure a community of players at the grassroots level is maintained, and creates an esports ecosystem Rainbow Six: Siege that is never empty of action and sustainable for the long term.
