Liverpool is ready to be the Champions regardless if Kane is playing or not

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson is wary of Harry Kane’s threat in the upcoming Champions League final. Liverpool will fight Tottenham Hotspur in the final party of the 2018/19 Champions League on Sunday (2/6) early morning, at Wanda Metropolitano, Madrid.

The duel is obviously difficult, but on the other hand it gives a feeling of familiarity. Both teams are very familiar with each other. This season, Liverpool came out as winners in their two Premier League duels.

So, the final is still final. The Champions League always keeps surprises, especially in matches as big as the final. That is, the game will be determined by small things. Small details that play a big role.

Both teams were in the best condition ahead of this fight. Spurs champion striker, Harry Kane has started to practice after pulling away for quite a while. Kane can be a dangerous threat.

As an opponent, Robertson already understood Kane’s strength. He acknowledged the England national striker as one of the best strikers in the world. Liverpool just need to play as usual, according to their identity.

“You have enough time to prepare yourself for a number of different scenarios. They will do that to us and we do it to them. Actually it doesn’t matter who plays,” Andrew Robertson told Sky Sports.

“Of course, Harry Kane is a world-class striker and whether he is fit or not, he can be a decisive winner for them. We clearly hope not.”

Kane has not been confirmed to play until his name actually appears in the list of match squad. Even so, Robertson guaranteed Liverpool were never afraid to imagine the possibility of having to face Kane’s strength.

“Actually it doesn’t really matter which team starts the fight, we have to concentrate on ourselves and concentrate on playing 100 percent while defending and attacking.”

“If we do that, we believe we are good enough to win the match. The only difference with the two Premier League clubs [in the final] might not be a lot of surprises,” he continued.

“We know a little more about how each other will play and hopefully we can do it and emerge victorious,” Robertson said.
