Here goes great news for the women interested in Formula F1 motorsports. Susie Wolf 33 year old retired from F1 in November has just launched a campaign of “Dare to be different” on Thursday. Under this campaign, she is looking forward to promote women to take part in motorsports and also in other areas of their expertise.
Sussie Wolff said, “The most outstanding girl we find will get a scholarship in karting, but it is about much more than that. It is not about finding the next female world champion.”
On further talking about plenty of opportunities for women in motorsports, she said, “When I stopped, I was very surprised at the amount of messages I got from people who were disappointed because they viewed me as a trailblazer.
“It isn’t short-term. I don’t want it to be something that comes with a bang and is gone by the end of the year. I want it to build up in the long term.” She further said, “I will build an online community of women from all over the world. It will connect them through a shared passion and empower them to become the next wave of role models, while also providing access to some of the most successful female names in the sport.”
According to Sussie Wolff, the campaign, “Dare to be different” will comprises of 5 different events which will be scheduled in UK this year. The main objective of this campaign as stated by Sussie Wolff is “to break the mould and shatter perceptions of a male-dominated sport”.
Under this Sussie Wolff will make women to experience different types of work like media working and kart – racing etc. Awareness about diet, nutrition and fitness plans will be given to women who will participate in motorsports this year with Sussie Wolff.
She said, “All the women who are doing successful roles within the sport will be showcased as role models”.
Past that, the thought is to “interface ladies” in the game so they can:
- Give one another counsel;
- Guide one another;
- Interface with one another;
- What’s more, conceptualize with one another.
We are here to wish Sussie Wolff a best of luck for this mission. We all know that with this determination Sussie Wolff will surely empower the women around.
