Another footballer who declared his retirement from the world that raised his name, Peter “The Robot” Crouch, who is now 38 years old, ended his long journey in football for 23 years of his career. In terms of individual abilities, there is actually nothing special about Crouch as a footballer besides his towering height of more than 2 meters with a thin stature. His Football Career
Crouch was a Tottenham academy graduate player who was given a permanent contract in the 1999/2000 season, but Crouch was not given the chance to play and be loaned to Dulwich Hamlet and IFK Hassleholm in Sweden before being bought by Queens Park Rangers who played in the Premier League First Division in 2000. After one season strengthening QPR, Crouch anchored to Portsmouth who also played in the First Division. Crouch’s achievements as a footballer were quite mediocre, during his professional career Crouch only recorded the FA Cup 2005/06 season and the 2006 Community Shield FA which were all won with Liverpool. Crouch also brought Liverpool to the Champions League runner-up in the 2006/07 season before being beaten by AC Milan in the final and being runner-up to the Club World Cup in 2005. During his career, Crouch only ever recorded a hat trick twice, once with Liverpool and once with the England national team. Crouch’s hat trick was made on March 31, 2007 when Liverpool brought him to destroy Arsenal with a score of 4-1 at Anfield. Crouch’s hat trick was called the perfect hat trick because each goal was scored using the right foot, left foot and head. In addition Crouch is also included in the 28 players who managed to record more than one hundred goals in the Premier League with a total of 109 goals. Crouch also recorded a record in the Premier League as a player who scored the most goals using a head with a total of 51 goals.
