Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar backs to his old self after controversial summer window. He scored winner against Ligue 1 rivlas Strasbourg on his return to the team. Despite Neymar’s heroics he was booed by the PSG fans packed inside the Parc des Princes.
The Brazilian superstar insisted to leave PSG and return to Barcelona in the summer window, but the deals never happened. According to reports, fans are disappointed with Neymar’s ambitions.
Speaking to reporters, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel said he knows the fans are a little bit disappointed with Neymar, he can understand that. However, the German hopes the story ends well and everyone is happy during the 2019/20 season/
“You could feel that, and I can understand if the fans are angry, even permanently. Nevertheless, there is also a side between me as a coach and him as a player. There was never a break or a discrepancy.
“That’s why it was very easy for me to let him play. He has always trained professionally. I feel that the decision was a relief to him, even though it was against his wishes.” Tuchel added.
Neymar went through a tough period last year. He had some injuries and some extra foot issues, which disrupted him a little bit. And Tuchel believes Neymar proved everything in training session and will really help PSG.
“Then, one is automatically focused on the task. As an athlete there is not much else you can think about. You have to give your all. He is hungry and a competitive guy who always wants to win.
“He has to withstand it the boos and whistles from the fans] now, that’s the reality. He has to go through it, and we all have to go through it in the home games. The best thing is to come to terms with it.”
Neymar will still miss three Champions League clash. The 27-year-old striker was banned by UEFA after PSG were eliminated by Manchester United’s controversial late penalty in March criticism.
