Italian league results: Inter beat AC Milan 2-0

Inter Milan won 2-0 victory over AC Milan in the fourth week of the Italian League match at the San Siro Stadium, Milan, Sunday (9/22).

Milan, the status of the host tried to appear aggressive from the first minute, but Inter did not want to be dominated by opponents. The derby match also presents a pretty tight match.

In the 10th minute Inter had a chance after Rico Rodriguez made an imperfect backpass to Gianluigi Donnarumma. The goal came close, but Donnarumma was still able to throw the ball and produce a corner kick.

Three minutes later it was Danilo D’Ambrosio’s turn to have a chance from close range. The Inter midfielder failed to convert chances, the ball only hit the pole.

Krzysztof Piatek made the ball lodged in the Inter goal in the 23rd minute, but did not validate it as a goal and judge Franck Kessie first handball.

Referee Daniele Doveri again annulled a goal in the 35th minute. This time Martinez who broke into Donnarumma’s goal was considered to be in an offside position.

After a draw until halftime, Inter then posted a lead in the 49th minute through Marcelo Brozovic who completed Stefano Sensi’s free kick. The ball that had hit Kessie’s foot slid into the goal without being able to anticipate by Donnarumma who was already dead step.

The referee had consulted with the Video Assistant Refferee (VAR) team to check the involvement of Martinez who was already in an offside position. In the video footage, Martinez did not touch the ball and the score on the scoreboard changed to 1-0 for Inter.

After taking the lead, the Nerazzurri appeared confident in attacking. Opportunities were obtained through the collaboration of Barella, Sensi, Lukaku, and Martinez.
