Liverpool won 2-1 victory over Chelsea when they visited the Stamford Bridge Stadium in the English League on Sunday (9/22).
Sadio Mane and his friends play attack and make Chelsea depressed at the beginning of the fight. The Blues are only able to maintain the goal of being broken until the 14th minute.
Starting from a free kick scheme, Mohamed Salah gave a pass to Trent Alexander-Arnold who then fired hard at Chelsea’s goal. Arrizabalaga unable to clear the ball, Liverpool led 1-0.
In the 27th minute Cesar Azpilicueta made a ball lodged in the Liverpool goal, but the referee then reviewed the goal with Video Assistant Referee and canceled it after assessing Mason Mount who participated in the goal process was in an offside position first.
Three minutes later, Liverpool were able to increase the advantage. Again starting from a free kick, this time Andy Robertson’s pass was put to good use by Roberto Firmino who headed the ball into the Kepa goal.
After winning 2-0 in the first round, Liverpool immediately jerked at the start of the second half. Firmino fired a volley in the 48th minute which was still able to be anticipated by Kepa.
Two minutes later, the Spanish goalkeeper returned to secure the goal from the threat of the Reds attack.
Chelsea’s first chance in the second half came through N’Golo Kante in the 59th minute. The tireless effort of the Blues could only produce a goal in the 71st minute.
After receiving the ball from Azpilicueta, Kante passed Fabinho and fired a shot that made the ball vibrate the Liverpool goal net while reviving Chelsea’s chance to pursue excellence.
Kante’s goal added to the confidence of Frank Lampard’s men to come out to attack for the rest of the game. Chelsea had another chance in the 81st minute, but Marcos Alonso’s header was still able to be anticipated by Adrian.
Before the match end, Mitchy Batshuayi and Mason Mount had chances that failed to convert into goals. Liverpool took home three points after confirming the score 2-1 as the final result. The Reds were firm at the top of the standings with 18 points from six wins in six matches.
