Jose Mourinho has been out of football since he left Manchester United at the end of December. He was in charge of the Red Devils for 2 seasons and won a Community Shield title.
The Special One has been linked with a number of jobs with Real Madrid the latest club to be reportedly looking at Mourinho.
Asked if he is likely to take up a new job any time soon, Mourinho responded: “I took advantage of this break to plan my future, improve my technical staff, give a new dimension to my work without losing my way of being.”
“I always want to improve and get involved. I’d like to win a different league after having done it in four countries (Portugal, Italy, Spain and England).
“If a club calls me and tells me that at the moment there are no conditions to win but that it wants me to come to create them, then I could accept. I will go where I can be happy.” Mourinho added.
Mourinho brilliantly built teams that succeeded in each league by understanding his rivals and adapting his style. He was Real coach from 2010 to 2013, when he helped the team win the Spanish league and the Copa del Rey.
On the other hand, the Portuguese is keen on the idea replacing Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham following a dismal start to the Premier League campaign for the Londoners.
Pochettino is under heavy pressure at Spurs due to his bad start in the 2019/20 season. Tottenham need to improve to truly challenge for the Premier League title this season, managing Spurs is a prospect that appeals to Mourinho.
“I think I earned the right to choose where to go. I have been away from football for 5 months and now I want to come back. This does not mean that I suffered because I have full control of my emotions but coaching is certainly an important part of my life and I obviously I miss it,” Mourinho said.
