The Italian league leaders, Juventus, won 2-1 at home to Bologna at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday (10/20).
Maurizio Sarri’s men threatened directly through Cristino Ronaldo in the third minute. After wasted opportunities, the home midfield tried to play neater.
Gonzalo Higuain also has a chance in the 16th minute that still cannot change position. Two minutes later, Ronaldo was also unable to break into Bologna’s goal after getting the ball from Sami Khedira.
Ronaldo completed the opportunity in the 19th minute. Utilizing the Bologna player’s inability to control the ball, Ronaldo then dribbled into the penalty box and fired a shot that made the ball towards the near post. Lukasz Skorupski could not prevent it, Juventus winning 1-0.
Bologna does not take too long to equalize. In the 26th minute Danilo Larangeira fired hard from inside the penalty box that could not be anticipated by Gianluigi Buffon.
After the score was drawn, the Juventus players again tried hard to dismantle the opponent’s defense. Bologna played neatly enough to not only complicate Juventus who were attacking, but also able to create a troublesome counter-attack.
Five minutes after the second half began, Juventus had a golden opportunity through the movements of Rabiot and Bernardeschi.
Ronaldo almost scored the second goal in the 54th minute. Alertiness Skorupski dismissed the ball preventing the superstar from celebrating the brace.
Goals actually come from Pjanic’s feet. Starting from the chaos in the Bologna penalty box, Roberto Soriano then passed towards the penalty box. Ronaldo immediately shoots the ball, but there is still Matia Bani. The ball bounces towards Pjanic. The Bianconeri midfielder wasted no chances. Juventus back ahead in the 54th minute.
After twice being broken into by Juventus players, Skorupski displayed a brilliant display under the crossbar by denying the chances of the home players.
A double chance for Juventus to fail to bear a goal. Higuain’s kick could still be blocked by Skorupski, while Bernardeschi’s effort was still able to be blocked by Danilo.
Ronaldo also failed to convert chances in the 79th minute. After receiving the Higuain pass, Ronaldo was unable to conquer Skorupski for the second time.
Ahead of the game broke up, Bologna got a series of golden opportunities. But no more goals were created.
A 2-1 win puts Juventus ahead of the Italian League with 22 points from eight matches, four ahead of Inter Milan.
