English Premier League Results: Man City beats Chelsea 2-1

Manchester City won 2-1 over Chelsea in the continued English Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday (11/24).

Manchester City won 2-1 ahead of Chelsea in the first round. Since the early minutes of the match, both teams played in a moderate tempo. Manchester City who acted as the home team tried to play ball possession. Slowly but surely, Manchester City managed to endanger the goal of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

It was Kevin De Bruyne able to threaten the Chelsea goal through a kick from inside the penalty box. But the result of the kick was still sideways on the right side of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Five minutes at the start of the match, Man City managed to lock the Blues in the defense area.

At the beginning of the match, Chelsea are still often wrong to pass to make profits from The Citizen. Entering the 10th minute, Chelsea tried to dare to appear attacking. Frank Lampard’s team began to appreciate possession of the diving ball as possible.

Substitute Phil Foden doesn’t want to lose in creating chances. In the 76th minute, Foden fired a left foot shot from outside the penalty box which was still wide on the right side of the Chelsea goal.

In the second half the control of the game is still held by Chelsea. But Frank Lampard’s team played more of the ball in their own defense.

Chelsea tried to build attacks from behind and always tried to take advantage of the smallest opportunities to score goals. One of them through Willian volley in the 80th minute, but still hovering over the goalkeeper Ederson.

Additional goals actually got Man City in the 90th minute +3 through the legs of Raheem Sterling who got a pass from Mahrez. However, after a review of VAR, Sterling’s goal was deemed invalid because the former Liverpool player was offside. Manchester City successfully brought home three points after a 2-1 win over Chelsea.
