ATP World Tour starting off on January 3rd, 2020. World no. 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas said he can’t wait for new season and can’t wait to play against the “big four”.
The Greek player is a very talented, hard working tennis player. He seems to be grounded and clever with concrete goals and a lot of confidence. He is one of the players many hope will break the hegemony come 2020.
“For me, there is plenty to take from 2019. It was a great season that brought me many positive things, notable victories and more knowledge and experience. I’m really excited for 2020, I have a lot of things to show and a lot of opportunities to prove myself once again.” Tsitsipas said.
“One thing I learned from last season is that courage comes within yourself and you have to stay calm and wait for your opportunities.
“When you put too much pressure on yourself and when you expect things to happen, they don’t always come at the right time or the right place, that’s why you have to keep patience and dedication that will lead you towards goals.” he added.
Tsitsipas was defeated by Rafael Nadal at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship final at Abu Dhabi court on Saturday. Both tennis players battled for three hours and 12 minutes.
“I’ve never played an exhibition so long, or maybe even any match, so I’m happy I gave it my all out there.” Tsitsipas said.
“We got electric support from the fans here. It’s been a great couple of days, I enjoyed it a lot, and I’m really grateful to have the opportunity to be here. Congrats to Rafa, it’s a great way for him to end the year. We put on some great entertainment with high-quality tennis. ” he added.
Tsitsipas has won his 3 (Nitto ATP Finals, Marseille Open, Estoril Open), and next year he will be excited for the whole tennis tournament.
