Madrid continues to improve, Barcelona is still plagued by conflict

Nothing is too special for Real Madrid to maintain the team’s consistency in the Spanish La Liga. Currently Los Merengues is at the top of the standings after beat Espanyol 1-0 on Monday (6/29).

A little factor that makes sense is that when Barcelona was still plagued by conflict, Zinedine Zidane was able to gain strength by honing their best strategies.

Madrid is indeed quiet from the noise of internal conflict rather than its rival, Barcelona. The situation made Zidane’s preparations during the lockdown go smoothly.

Since the Spanish League rolled back on June 11 after the lockdown, Madrid’s performance has continued to improve.

Of the five matches, they always win. Zinedine Zidane’s landing team won from Eibar 3-1, Valencia (3-0), Real Sociedad (2-0), Mallorca (2-0) and Espanyol (1-0).

In contrast, Barcelona have been held to two draws in the last five matches after the lockdown. Quique Setien’s squad was held by Sevilla without a goal and drew against Celta Vigo 2-2 in match 32 of the week.

While three wins when conquering Mallorca 4-0, win over Leganes (2-0), and beat Athletic Bilbao (1-0). Especially against Bilbao, the victory over Barcelona was a little unexpected.

Previously, Bilbao was said to be potentially troublesome for Blaugrana. Instead, Barcelona were held to a 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo, a team that is only one level away from the relegation zone.

Barcelona’s lackluster performance has been linked to bad news about the commotion between their star players: Messi and Antoine Griezmann.

Diario Gol on June 22 reported that Messi and Griezmann had a fight during the team’s training session. The quarrel between the two Blaugrana star players even had to be interrupted by coach Quique Setien and his team-mates.

The commotion was reported because of trivial problems during the game at the training session. However, the conflict is only a lighter of the cold relationship between the two star players.

Diario Gol is still reported, Messi no longer wants to give feedback to Griezmann. One of the claims of the media, La Pulga did not give feedback to Griezmann when Barcelona beat Leganes 2-0.

When Barcelona were arrested by Celta Vigo 2-2, Setien did not play Griezmann as a starter. The Frenchman was only played in the 81st minute replacing Luis Suarez.

This condition can certainly add to the dizziness of Setien, who was charged by the Spanish champions after they entered the competition.

Zidane and Bale Problems in Madrid

Conversely, Zidane who had a headache with the Gareth Bale problem, began to overcome it. The Frenchman no longer gave Bale a big share on the field after the Spanish La Liga resumed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Of the five matches, Bale recorded only played twice. That, too, in portions that are not full 90 minutes.

On the other hand, Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard’s cooperation in the future is getting better. Not to mention names like Vinicius Junior and Isco on the other front lines, also often showing slick performance.

On the back line, Sergi Ramos so far still appears consistent, even had contributed to the winning goal.

However, that does not mean Los Blancos is fully separated from the same disease as its rivals: inconsistent.
