Chelsea will face Liverpool in the 37th week of the English Premier League 2019-2020. The Blues – nicknamed Chelsea – will visit Liverpool headquarters, Anfield, on Thursday, July 23, 2020 early morning.
Ahead of the match, Chelsea coach Frank Lampard pulled back about his team’s journey this season. Lampard said he was very impressed to see the hard work shown by his players to keep them competing in the top flight.
The 2019-2020 season was indeed quite difficult for Chelsea. Frank Lampard’s squad faced the harsh reality at the start of the season by being banned from being active in the 2020 winter transfer market yesterday.
This is inseparable from the illegal transfers they have made by bringing underage players. Not only that, Chelsea also lost one of their stars, namely Eden Hazard who chose to move to Real Madrid.
The transition period of the team with the dominance of young players began. The results were clearly not necessarily good at the beginning. However, they actually appear extraordinary and have not moved from the top four since October 2019.
Currently, Chelsea is ranked third in the 2019-2020 English League standings. However, their position is not safe because Leicester and Man United are only one point away in positions four and five.

“I have a great desire to enter the Champions League, obviously, but I still feel we have made a big step. We were not really in a difficult situation at the start of the season
“We have forced ourselves to compete in the top position (standings) and we managed to show it. I am sure this team has made a lot of progress even in the difficult situations encountered, “he said
