Adam Lallana wrote a moving farewell message after Liverpool lifted the English Premier League trophy.
After joining for six years with the Reds, the 32-year midfielder left the club. His contract at Liverpool last until the end of July 2020.
In his Instagram account, Lallana wrote farewells to all players, coaches, staff, management, and especially the Reds fans.
“There is nothing but love and appreciation for the past six years. Thank you to all the wonderful people who made this place like home,” Lallana wrote.
“The fans who always accept me and make me become one of theirs. World-class staff, without them none of our achievements as players can be realized. I did not find the right words how much they mean to me. They are everything. “
On that occasion, Lallana also paid special respect to the two coaches who were considered very instrumental in his career at Liverpool.
“To Brendan Rodgers [former Liverpool coach], I will always be grateful for the privilege he has given to represent this club.”
“To Jurgen Klopp, as a man who is even better than as a football coach,” said Lallana.
He also said his teammates were like brothers to him. Special praise was also given to teammate Jordan Henderson.
“Sharing this trip with these friends made me the luckiest friend in this match.”
“For the team captain, Jordan Henderson, my best friend! There is nothing more worthy of success than this man. It is everything he has ever been near while he won it [the English League title],” explained Lallana.
Lallana also thanked her family, wife, children, mother, father and siblings.
“They are my own ‘team’. They make better days and difficult situations can be overcome.”
“I am very grateful to have been a part of this special place,” said Lallana.
Besides Lallana, Dejan Lovren will also leave Liverpool. The Croatian defender is one step away from establishing a deal with Zenit St. Petersburg.
Lallana and Lovren may be played in the last match of the Reds in the Premier League when they travel to the headquarters of Newcastle United on Sunday (26/7).
