AC Milan won 2-0 over Fiorentina in the match week nine of the Italian League at the San Siro Stadium, Sunday (29/11).
The match was quite exciting. Because the two teams both play attacking with a fairly high tempo. Several opportunities were created from both sides. But only Alessio Romagnoli and Franck Kessie were finally able to get their names on the scoreboard.
AC Milan had difficulty developing their game in the early first half of the match. Fiorentina forced them to play in their own defensive area.
Several dangerous attacks also came to the Rossoneri penalty box. But Donnarumma et al can still get around the threat from La Viola. The game was stopped for a moment in the 10th minute. In the 25th minute Milan get a penalty after Gernab Pezella brought down Alexis Saelemaekers. Through the VAR the referee awarded a penalty to the host.
Franck Kessie, who became the executor of the penalty, did not waste the opportunity to bring Milan 2-0 up in the 27th minute.
Milan could have won 3-0 in the 40th minute if Kessie’s penalty returned to Fiorentina’s goal. However, Kessi’s shot to the left was still pushed over by goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski.
In the second half, Fiorentina tried to hit again so they could steal a goal as quickly as possible. But they had difficulty penetrating the Milan defense.
Hakan Calhanoglu’s shot in the 53rd minute hit the post, the next attack from Sandro Tonali was still caught by goalkeeper Dragowski.
Kessie failed to take advantage of the chaos in front of the Fiorentina goal in the 69th minute. His right leg kick after turning around is still wide on the left side of Bartlomiej Dragowski’s goal.
Both teams have a number of chances with the remainder of the match, but no additional goals have been scored. Milan won 2-0 over Fiorentina.
