Premier League Fans Return to Stadiums

English Premier League fans will be allowed to return to stadiums since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. However, fans allowed to position themselves in the safe standing areas of the ground.

The announcement was made in recent days by the British government, which had communicated the reopening of the reduced capacity facilities and that the number of tickets that could be sold would depend on the area of the team concerned.

There are only 10 teams that will have the opportunity to bring in the 2,000 fans and they are those in region 2: Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Southampton, Tottenham and West Ham.

The other 10 teams: Aston Villa, Burnley, Leeds, Leicester, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle, Sheffield United and West Brom are located in the so-called region 3 and will continue to play behind closed doors until the next decree.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted he’s very pleased to see Premier League fans return to the stadiums when his squad to host Wolverhampton this weekend.

“I hope it will be a great experience for all of us, but I can’t know. As a footballer I have played very often in front of 2 thousand people who were not really in their best mood, and they can create a really good environment.” Klopp said.

“After this long pause I think our audience will be in the best shape possible. As we have always said when you go to Anfield, it is not important how many you are, but how much you influence your support. I hope 2000 people can be influential, that they really help. First of all they have to enjoy the game.” Klopp added.
