Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman admitted that he was preparing to face the match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the second leg of the 2020-2021 Champions League last 16. In that fight, he really expected a miracle.
After the match against Osasuna in the Spanish League, Koeman said he would pay great attention to the next match, against PSG. This is an important match because it is a decisive match to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Unfortunately, Barcelona have slim hopes of stepping into the quarter-finals. Because, in the first leg match which took place at the Camp Nou, Barcelona lost 1-4.
Of course, Barcelona will face a very tough task in undergoing the match against PSG. The squad nicknamed the Blaugrana not only had to score one or two goals, but many more.
Luckily in the last few matches, Barcelona have had positive results in the Spanish League and Copa del Rey. Even in the Copa del Rey event, Barcelona was able to win a comeback after the first leg lost 0-2, then the second leg won 3-0.
In the last match, Barcelona also successfully beat Osasuna with a score of 2-0. Armed with a positive result, Koeman doesn’t want to be too busy and tries to prepare the team well to fight PSG.
However, on the one hand, Koeman also hopes that a neat result can be achieved by Barcelona at PSG headquarters. Even the Dutch passport coach did not deny the desire for a miracle in this match.
“We need to rest and we have to prepare for the match (against PSG),” said Koeman, quoting from Marca, Monday (8/3/2021).
“I don’t want to say it’s impossible, but we will go there to get a good result,” he added.
The PSG vs Barcelona match will take place on Thursday 11 March 2021 WIB. The match will be held at PSG headquarters, Parc des Princes.
