Actually, on the official Barcelona website it is clearly written that Eric Garcia will be announced today. On the official Barcelona website, Eric Garcia will be announced as a Barcelona player at 17.00 CET.
The presence of Eric Garcia is an additional force in Barcelona’s back line. Barcelona currently needs an experienced center-back, considering that only Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet are left in the experienced squad.
Because of that lack of experience, Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has played a number of young defenders. Call it Ronald Araujo and Oscar Mingueza.
Now the question is, how long will Eric Garcia be contracted by Barcelona? According to Fabrizio Romano, Eric Garcia, who was signed for free, will be contracted for five years or until June 30, 2026!
Eric Garcia is not new to Barcelona. The 20-year-old defender was educated at the Barcelona academy, until finally moving to the Manchester City U-18 team in 2018.
